Windows

A real installation, for your account only — no administrator needed. Akili Code lands in the Start menu, ready to search for and pin; akili-code goes on your PATH so any new terminal opens the interactive session; and it appears in Settings → Apps with a clean uninstaller. Nothing else to install: the runtime it needs is built in.

Not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen asks the first time: More info → Run anyway. Open a new terminal after installing — Windows only gives the updated PATH to programs started afterwards.

Linux & macOS

One line. It detects your platform, verifies the download against the release checksums, and refuses to install on a mismatch.

Both binaries land in ~/.local/bin, with a desktop entry and icon on Linux. Set AKILI_INSTALL_DIR to put them elsewhere.

Only builds that exist are listed. A platform that is not here has not been published for this version yet — build from source in the meantime.

Verify any download against SHA256SUMS:

shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS --ignore-missing

Everything the installer does is described on the install page, including silent installs for fleets. The Windows .zip is still published for anyone who prefers to manage the files themselves.
