Connectors
Connect a Google account and Akili can read your Drive and your mail, save what it makes into Drive, and draft replies — which you read and send yourself.

With nothing connected they do not exist, so the agent writes files to disk and tells you where — instead of trying a call that cannot work.
Reviewing and editing a draft
When Akili writes a message, the run finishes and then the message is shown:

[s]end · [e]dit · [r]evise with Akili · [c]opy · [o]pen in Gmail · [d]iscard · [↵] keepe edits in place: the recipient, subject and body open already filled in. Move with the arrow keys, change what needs changing, press Enter to keep a field. In the body, up and down move between lines and Alt+Enter adds a new line. Ctrl+C cancels and keeps nothing of the edit.
r revises with Akili: say what should change — warmer, shorter, mention Thursday at 10 — and the body is rewritten for you to review again. It is one model call with no tools; it cannot send or save anything else.
Every change is saved to the Gmail draft straight away, because s sends the draft Gmail holds. If a save fails, the panel says so and refuses to send until it succeeds. s then asks once more, naming the recipient — a wrong address is the mistake you cannot take back. d deletes the draft from Gmail; Enter keeps it.
Being exact about sending. The agent has a tool that saves drafts and no tool that sends. The only way a message reaches an inbox is the review panel above, after a person has read it. That promise is kept by Akili Code rather than by Google's permissions — the account is granted gmail.send so that the panel's send button can work.

The sign-in secret lives on Akili's server and is never in the app, so a copy of the program yields nothing. Your tokens stay on your machine.
When it goes wrong
